BIOGRAPHY

TV and Film Actress Katie Carpenter

Katie was the second daughter born to a family of three girls. Middle-child syndrome is a real disease, and it affected her from an early age. Found-footage VHS tapes are proof: Katie was destined to be an actress.

She made her stage debut in the second grade play of, "Sleeping Beauty," and was cast in the title role. She was grateful she didn't catch cooties from the prince, but instead, caught something much worse- the entertainment bug.

Katie was awarded performance scholarships in acting and voice and attended Catawba College in Salisbury, NC. Katie's favorite role in college was one her enemies would say is perfect for her; the antagonistic Abigail Williams in Arthur Miller's, "The Crucible."

While at college, Katie reluctantly faced her fear of needles as she worked behind the scenes in Costumes and Wardrobe. Katie designed two main stage shows, her most prized being "Bright Lights, Big City" which is a controversial musical based in New York City's club scene, and was outfitted on a micro-budget (AKA, borrowing lingerie from her friends).

During the summer of 2013, Katie earned the Best Actress award in the Greensboro 48 Hour Film Festival,

Most recently, Katie wrapped a supporting role in the feature film,  Acrimony. Other notable credits include:  Netflix's, House of Cards,  Lifetime's, Devious Maids, Homicide Hunter, and the independent horror feature, All Girls Weekend.

Katie also creates and stars in the comedic webseries, "Maid to Order."

Her current goals are to create more female-driven content, adopt all the kitties of the world, and master the perfect banana bread.
